Thanks to low-profile shape and plentiful array of pockets, it’s the kind of vest that works all year around. Wear it stowed under a coat as a midlayer in the winter, and then wear it over a tee in summer when you still need a few pockets but it’s too hot for a full jacket. And because of that water-repellent finish it’s not afraid of a few rainclouds either.
