Almost 16 years ago, James McFadden etched himself into Scottish football folklore following a famous night in Paris.

It was Wednesday 12th September 2007, and Scotland were facing up against World Cup finalists France on their home turf. Having already beat them in Glasgow the previous year, and with Scotland sitting second in the table with four games to go, the stage was set, and qualification for the EUROs was truly on the cards.

It was a cagey affair with both teams struggling to create genuine chances, until the game sparked to life in the 64th minute when Craig Gordon’s goal kick dropped at the feet of James McFadden. Deep in French territory, he turned towards goal and put his foot through the ball from 30 yards out. “Pick it out Landreau!” was the call as pandemonium ensued inside the Parc des Princes and in homes, pubs, and streets across Scotland.

Inspired by that famous night in Paris, HANON and diadora reignite their partnership to present the ‘Glorious Moments’ Pack, featuring the diadora Intrepid.

Bold, with strong attributes, without fear, courageous; these are four synonyms for the word intrepid which perfectly describes this take on diadora’s 1988 classic. Handcrafted in Italy, the HANON Intrepid is kitted out in a warm grey hairy suede upper with premium mesh underlays, lush dark blue nappa leather and bright blue pebbled nubuck overlays. A metallic gold leather diadora formstripe teams up with gold embroidered branding on the vamp and heel, and additional branding can be found on both sides of the tongue label. The shoe is finished with an allover printed sockliner with gold foil branded stickers, and sits on a tonal VIBRASORB midsole with contrasting dark blue rubber outsole. Each pair will be presented in a custom box with branded tissue paper, two extra lace sets, and a James McFadden silhouette sticker.
